Join us for an unforgettable evening in support of the ASCRS Foundation.
Party for a Purpose brings ASCRS attendees, ASOA attendees, industry partners, exhibitors, and guests together during the Annual Meeting for a high-energy night of celebration, connection, and philanthropy. While details for the 2027 event have not yet been released, the purpose remains the same: kickoff a great weekend of education and networking by raising funds to support the ASCRS Foundation and its sight-restoring work.
Proceeds from Party for a Purpose benefit the ASCRS Foundation, including Operation Sight, which provides charitable cataract surgery to US residents in need.

A Look Back at 2026
At the 2026 ASCRS Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., Party for a Purpose celebrated America’s 250th birthday with a star-spangled evening of music, dancing, performances, and fundraising in support of the ASCRS Foundation.
The 2026 event was held Friday, April 10, at the Westin DC Downtown Hotel and featured “dance for donations,” musical performances, and a $35,000 Challenge Match from Alcon, with donations benefiting the ASCRS Foundation and Operation Sight.

The ASCRS Foundation supports physician education and provides humanitarian cataract surgery to US residents in need through their flagship program, Operation Sight.
Who Attends
ASCRS, ASOA, industry/exhibitor attendees, and their guests. Please bring your Annual Meeting registration badge for entry. Guests must be 21 or older.
