Achieving “perfect” vision in patients is a challenge in refractive surgery. Topography guided treatments like ContouraTM attempt to regularize the cornea but the inclusion criteria are not well defined. We demonstrate a step-by-step optical algorithm to address the dilemma in treating patients with a discrepancy in cylinders measured subjectively & objectively & thus achieve optimal results.
