Course will demonstrate an in-depth overview of the mechanism and action of accommodation and the predicting factors associated with the development of presbyopia. New therapeutic and surgical technologies will be presented including accommodation restoration, accommodative IOLs and scleral intervention. A comparison of the existing techniques with multifocal systems (multifocal, Depth-of-focus IOLs, and corneal procedures) will also be reviewed.
