Description
Modified technique of preDescemetic DALK is introduced for primary treatment of acute hydrops at presentation giving early & effective visual (UDVA and CDVA), anatomic, biomechanical & topographic rehabilitation, less topo & refractive astigmatism, less dependence on contact lens and better contact lens fit when required. Most importantly, it avoids healing by scarring unlike in conventional management, thereby preventing need for penetrating keratoplasty.
