ASCRS is committed to the education of young ophthalmologists, making membership complimentary for residents and U.S. fellows and discounted on a prorated basis for physicians within their first 5 years of practice.
In addition to being discounted for YES members, the ASCRS Annual Meeting features several YES-specific educational offerings, including skills transfer labs, a networking luncheon, two symposia, mentor meetups, and more.
The monthly YES newsletter keeps members informed of the latest educational opportunities and important ASCRS updates.
The YES Clinical Committee hosts monthly webinars on non-clinical topics that are relevant specifically to the YES audience.
YES members often get complimentary access to special programs, such as the Glaucoma Building Blocks educational miniseries.
ASCRS YES members are eligible to apply for two opportunities: the Young Eye Surgeons International Service Grant and the YES Resident Excellence Award.
EyeWorld, ASCRS’ member publication, features a column of specific interest to the YES audience, guided by members of the YES Clinical Committee.
YES members are afforded unique opportunities to not only engage with leadership but assert leadership on their own. For example, ASCRS YES members are encouraged to apply for a scholarship to the Legislative Fly-In in Washington, D.C.

ASCRS YES members are valuable contributors to the society. ASCRS is committed to providing free education to residents and fellows across the country and reduced fees for surgeons in their first 5 years of practice who live in the U.S.
Annual Dues

- 2nd year in practice – $200
- 3rd year in practice – $300
- 4th year in practice – $360
- 5th year in practice – $420
