Course Description
This course is designed to help refractive cataract surgeons interested in starting and maintaining an office based surgery (OBS) center while achieving reimbursements with private payers. We will review the major challenges of starting an office based surgery center including accreditation requirements as well as the safety profile data. Highlighting the advantages of offering more premium services is one of th key advantages of OBS.

1. Understand the safety and growth of office based surgery in ophthalmology across the U.S. 2. Understand how to start an office based surgery center by creating a clear vision and mission statements. 3. Understand the accreditation requirements 4. Understand the mechanism to achieve reimbursement with private payers and maximizing revenues with more premium offerings (ICL, RLE, and premium cataract surgery with advanced technology IOLs.
