Presenter Instructions

Registration: All ASCRS speakers and faculty (authors, producers, instructors, presenters, moderators, panelists) are required to register for the ASCRS•ASOA Annual Meeting. Visit our website at https://annualmeeting.ascrs.org/registration for complete registration details.  All ASCRS speakers and faculty are encouraged to complete their registration by the Tier 3 deadline, April 3, 2019.

Honoraria and Expense Reimbursement
ASCRS does not pay honoraria or travel/housing expenses for presenters or faculty participating in the annual meeting. Faculty are reminded that they may not receive travel expense reimbursement, honoraria, or other compensation directly from an ophthalmic commercial interest for participation within CME activities.

ASCRS Speaker Guide

Speakers are encouraged to read the 2019 ASCRS Speaker Guide, as it provides speakers with the information they need to prepare, upload and deliver their presentation.  https://annualmeeting.ascrs.org/ascrs-asoa-presenters

ASCRS General Sessions, Symposia and Scientific Papers

All General Session, Symposia and Scientific Paper session speakers are required to upload their presentation 48 hours prior to the start of the session.  

  • Presentation can be created in either Power Point or Keynote
  • All presentations should be  in 16:9 wide screen format

Speakers can upload their presentations remotely through http://events.freeman-cloud.com/ascrs

Username: [Person_EmailAddress] (use the primary e-mail address you entered when submitting your financial interest disclosure)
Password: ASCRS2019 (this password can be reset after you log in the first time)

ASCRS Instructional Courses

ASCRS courses are 90-minutes long. Course instructors may use their own laptop or bring their presentation on a flash drive and use the PC or Mac provided by ASCRS. All ASCRS Instructional Course presentations will be in 16:9 format.

ASCRS Instructional Course Handouts - Handouts will be available to attendees on the ASCRS Meetings APP. Handouts give course participants an overview of the subject matter and provide detailed additional information that may not have been covered because of time restrictions.

  • Handouts can be uploaded between March 27, 2019 and April 15, 2019

  • Files may not exceed 10MB
  • Must be in PDF format
  • Use the following naming format- presenter-lastname_first three words of course title.pdf. For example: jones_LASIK Pearls 101.pdf

ASCRS Electronic Poster Presentations

Create Your Electronic Poster's PowerPoint File

  • Titles: Titles used on the title slide must match the edited title you received with your notification of acceptance. No product/trade names can be used in the title. Generic descriptors are required for CME purposes.
  • Electronic posters will be accepted in electronic format, only (PowerPoint File). Printed posters will not be displayed.
  • The upload system only accepts posters in PowerPoint format (PPT or PPTX files, only). Maximum of 12 PowerPoint Slides (file size of 50 MB). Poster PowerPoint files with more than 12 slides will not qualify for judging.
  • Do not submit entire presentation as one large poster image. Please divide into multiple slides for purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.

Do not embed videos or animation within the PowerPoint file. Presenters will have the opportunity to include additional slides with files, tables, charts, etc. to enhance the purpose, materials, results, or conclusions slides. The system offers the ability to upload one (1) video, image, or text file in addition to the PowerPoint file (see Additional File Upload below).

Uploading Your Poster Presentation

To login to the "Electronic Posters On Demand" upload website and upload your electronic poster, visit: https://ascrsposters.expoplanner.com/upload/

Password: E-mail address used to submit poster abstract

Deadline for poster upload is April 28th.  No onsite upload will be available. 

Submissions for ASCRS and the Ophthalmic Photographers’ Society (OPS) photos are still being accepted. For more information, visit the submissions website
